Back to Work

Today, Husbanks goes back to work. I highly recommend paternity leave for couples who are both working. You see things from the other perspective. And that’s always a good thing. We’re lucky that Schwab was so accommodating to Husbanks’ desire to spend a month at home.

Also, the concept of “paternity leave” makes your traditional friends nervous. Which is funny. And it’s important that we help each other think outside of the box.

I love parenting with you, Husbanks. Hope you have a good day today.

Oh, that little baby face is so cute! Ridley’s, not Ryan’s. 😉

We need a Guest Blog from Ryan on his paternity leave. 🙂

So awesome Ryan had that time. I agree, Dads spending time with baby is not only good for their bonding, but great perspective. Eric spent every other Friday with Elias last fall, even just one day every few weeks solo reminds us of how much work taking care of a little one is, and he would often remind me, when I would feel I got “nothing” done, that taking care of Elias IS getting something done, and although it’s amazing time with Elias, it’s not often restful. Just hearing those words from my parenting partner is amazingly re-energizing. Riddles is super lucky.
