Funny things my friends’ kids say Series! – Story 1

Kids say the darndest things.  This week, I will share my favorite funny stories from my friends’ kids.

My good friends Christine and Dave have two daughters, and their oldest daughter was very shy.  She would hide behind her mother at church and never talk to anyone.  One day, Christine told her daughter that people at church are our friends – they are not stranger danger – so you can talk to them!

That very Christmas Eve, her daughter (age three at the time) walked up to our minister, tugged on her robe with great flourish and said, “Excuse me!  I’d like to introduce you to our friend, Grandma!”

The flood gates opened, and now she talks to all of us 🙂

I miss little Maddie, she is a cutie! The one time we were able to have Christine, Dave and Maddie over for dinner, she might have been about 4yrs old. Our dog’s tail knocked a full bottle of beer off the coffee table. As all the adults jumped up to pick it up she quickly calmed us down by saying “don’t worry, don’t worry…Mommie will clean it up!” Thanks Maddie. 🙂
