I haven’t purchased deodorant since 2003

It was a sunny day in Waco, Texas when I walked into the grocery store near campus.  It was May 2003.  I noticed a bargain bin advertising the deodorant I wore – Shower Clean Degree.

The sign over the bin read:

Shower Clean Degree
99 cents
No limit

99 cents?  No limit?  You bet I filled my basket!  I don’t remember how many Shower Clean Degrees I purchased, but I have not purchased deodorant since that day.  I’ve had a box full of Shower Clean Degrees that moved with me from my college apartment to Ryan and my first apartment to Ryan and my second apartment then to our house.  Now, I am on my very last one.

What technologies have changed in deodorant composition?  Is there still PH balance?  Are there still solids or is everything clear now?  I am over five years behind!

Does Shower Clean Degree still smell the same?  How much does deodorant cost?  Where is it in the store?  I feel like a caveman.

wow that’s impressive. closest i can come is that i’m only on my second bottle of aftershave lotion in 10 years (helps if you only shave once a week and then only use a tiny bit of it)

Ooooh, shower clean was my favorite Degree scent for YEARS! Try the satin (or similar?) scent, it’s good too. (I know you’re probably thinking, “but satin doesn’t smell like anything.” I know. Shame on the Degree people.)

Good point, Becky! This is a testament to Degree’s quality product. That, or I stink.
