Thank you for the instruments!

This story comes from my good friend, Johanna.

Last spring, Stephen Colbert told the Colbert Nation to go to, select a teacher’s project, and send in some money to fund it. “Considering I do everything Colbert tells me to do,” Johanna said, “I went to the site, found an elementary music teacher in Austin who needed to buy new rhythm instruments for his class, and donated to the project.”

Eight months later, she received thank-you notes and pictures from the kids.  She scanned them for Hil Street.  Enjoy!

Thank you for the new instruments. The old ones have been with us for about 22 years and there all damaged. Some of our instruments have given some kindergarteners splinters. The other instruments don’t make the right sounds. Well anyways These new instrument will be very useful, Thank you.

We thank you so much for the instruments. We really needed the maracas old ones was broken rythym sticks were splintered which three kids went to the nurse to take them out so we thank you.
